WHAT IS SILICON CARBIDE?
First silicon carbide usually include black silicon carbide and green silicon carbide.
Silicon Carbide is a kind of inorganic substance,its chemical formula is SiC.
The raw material of silicon carbide is silica sand and petroleum coke,and melted in resistance furnace,then cool.
There is one thing that will add some salt when produce green silicon carbide,but needn’t it when black silicon carbide.
Silicon Carbide is hexagonal crystal, its specific gravity is 3.2-3.25g/cm3 and microhardness is 2840～3320kg/mm2.
