Silicon Carbide is produced in electrical internal resistance furnaces from silica sands and petroleum coke(added salt during smelting),with high hardness,thermal conductivity and strength.

Green silicon carbide	Black silicon carbide

silicon carbide usually includes green silicon carbide and green silicon carbide,the main difference is that green silicon carbide has higher hardness than black one.

About density,they both almost have the same properties as follows:

True density:3.2-3.5g/cm3

Bulk density：1.2-1.6g/cm3
