Black silicon carbide filler for types of coating films

Black silicon carbide filler for types of coating films

The core properties of black silicon carbide are: controllable electrical conductivity, excellent thermal conductivity, high wear resistance, resistance to strong acids and alkalis, high temperature resistance, and superior toughness compared to green silicon carbide.

I. Antistatic/Antistatic Coating Film

Black silicon carbide, relying on its semiconductor properties, establishes conductive pathways within the coating film, with surface resistance stably controlled at 10⁶~10⁹Ω, perfectly meeting antistatic standards.

1. Epoxy Antistatic Floor Coating

Black antistatic flooring for petroleum, chemical, gas station, hazardous chemical warehouse, explosives workshop, and powder processing plants; it is both forklift resistant and able to discharge static electricity, preventing static sparks from igniting flammable and explosive gases and dust. It is divided into antistatic topcoat and antistatic mortar layer.

2. Antistatic and Anticorrosive Paint for Tank Inner Walls

Epoxy antistatic coating for gasoline, diesel, methanol, chemical solvent storage tanks, and powder silos. The friction of flowing media easily generates static electricity; black silicon carbide combines antistatic properties with resistance to oil corrosion and material erosion, making it a standard filler in the oil and gas industry.

3. Antistatic Pipeline Lining Coating

Thick epoxy coating for flammable and explosive fluid transport pipelines (oil, gas, organic solvent powder pipelines), providing antistatic properties, erosion resistance, and solvent immersion resistance.

4. Antistatic Topcoat for Electronic Workshops (Dark Equipment): Black equipment racks and workbenches in PCB factories and lithium battery raw material workshops, providing antistatic protection for components, and resistance to wear and chemicals.

II. EMI Electromagnetic Shielding Conductive Coating Film

Black silicon carbide possesses weak electrical conductivity and high thermal conductivity. When combined with carbon black to create a shielding coating, it is suitable for dark-colored housings requiring electromagnetic interference protection:

1. Epoxy shielding paint for server chassis and industrial control equipment housings;

2. Shielding and anti-corrosion topcoat for communication base station metal housings and instrument housings;

3. Electromagnetic protection coating for new energy electronic control housings; Advantages: Combines shielding, heat dissipation, wear resistance, and salt spray resistance; more wear-resistant and scratch-resistant than pure carbon black coatings.

III. Dark-Colored Heavy-Duty Wear-Resistant and Anti-Corrosion Coating Film

Black silicon carbide has a Mohs hardness of 9.2, is resistant to acids and alkalis, salt spray, and sand and gravel erosion, and has better toughness than green silicon carbide. It can withstand repeated impacts and knocks, and is used exclusively in black and dark gray industrial paints.

1. Epoxy Heavy-Duty Anti-Corrosion and Wear-Resistant Coating
 Black inner lining coating for mining equipment, ore washing chutes, slurry pumps, and tailings pipelines; resistant to acid and alkali corrosion from ore slurry and high-speed erosion by solid particles.

Dark-colored anti-corrosion topcoat for sewage treatment, pickling wastewater pipelines, and acid-alkali reaction kettles.

Wear-resistant and anti-corrosion paint for steel mills, power plant flues, and dust removal ducts; resistant to high-temperature flue gas and dust abrasion.

2. Polyurethane and Polyurea Dark-Colored Wear-Resistant Topcoat
Black outer shell paint for construction machinery (excavators, loaders), port loading and unloading equipment, and gantry crane topcoat; resistant to sea salt spray and stone impact; wear-resistant life far exceeds that of brown corundum, and the cost is lower than that of green silicon carbide.

3. Dark-colored anti-corrosion paint for ships and marine applications: Black abrasion-resistant epoxy paint for cargo holds, coating for the inner walls of dredged pipelines; resistant to seawater corrosion and sand/gravel impact abrasion; black silicon carbide is not required for the upper light-colored hull.

4. Water-based dark-colored industrial abrasion-resistant paint: Water-based epoxy and water-based polyurethane black/grey equipment paints; black silicon carbide is chemically stable and will not cause demulsification or clumping of water-based paints, improving abrasion resistance and water-based corrosion resistance, suitable for environmentally friendly water-based production lines.

Ⅳ. PTFE (Teflon) non-stick and wear-resistant composite paint film
Black silicon carbide has good toughness and high cost performance. It is widely used as wear-resistant filler in Teflon coatings to solve the shortcomings of pure PTFE that is soft, easy to wear and not resistant to scratches by hard objects:
1. Industrial mold release coating

black Teflon coating for injection molds, aluminum alloy die-casting molds, and rubber molds; resistant to high temperatures, smooth demoulding, resistant to repeated opening and closing friction, and does not peel off the coating.
2. Non-stick paint for industrial kitchenware and baking equipment

Teflon topcoat for commercial baking pans, frying pans, and food conveyor rollers; resistant to shovel scratches, uniform heat conduction, and lower in cost than green silicon carbide for large-scale commercial use. White corundum is mostly used for household non-stick pans, and black silicon carbide is preferred for heavy-duty commercial use.
3. Hydraulic valve core, sliding bearing self-lubricating and wear-resistant coating

Various reciprocating metal friction parts, taking into account non-stick self-lubrication, wear resistance and heat conduction.

V. High-Temperature Resistant Dark-Colored Special Coating Films

Black silicon carbide has a melting point of 2250℃ and extremely high thermal stability, making it suitable for dark-colored coatings used in long-term high-temperature applications:

1. Organosilicon high-temperature resistant black paint, inorganic high-temperature resistant fireproof and wear-resistant coatings; protection for boilers, exhaust pipes, heat treatment fixtures, and kiln exterior walls; does not crack or powder at high temperatures, and is also wear-resistant and oxidation-resistant.

2. High-temperature resistant and wear-resistant paint for incinerators and waste-to-energy flue gas ducts, resistant to high-temperature acid and alkali flue gas erosion.

VII. Powder Coatings
Black epoxy polyester powder coating, outdoor fluorocarbon powder coating:

1. Outdoor black guardrails, streetlights, electrostatic powder coating for construction machinery, with added ultra-fine black silicon carbide to enhance resistance to wind and sand scratches, weather resistance and wear resistance;

2. Black conductive/antistatic powder coating for electrical equipment, used for cabinets and metal housings.

Ⅸ. Repair Adhesive and Wear-Resistant Epoxy Repair Paste

Black repair material and filler for pipe potholes and equipment wear pits. It combines corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and high temperature resistance, making it suitable for on-site repair of chemical and mining equipment.
